Death and Blood Cleanup Odors

Some crime scene cleanup companies claim that the death and blood odors cause respiratory illness. We have no proof of such a claim. If such a claim has any truth to it, it's hard to imagine.

How would people have worked around the dead for thousands of years and survived. One needs only to remember World War I and World War II. Soldiers often survived trapped with decomposing soldiers for long periods of time. Civilians in bombed out cities in England, Poland, Russia, Germany, and Japan survived the stench of decomposition. Before decomposition cleanup could begin, shooting had to stop. Shooting sometimes went on for months. Bodies decomposed in total in some cases.

Today we find these same type of event occurring in the Middle East. Syria and Iraq have their share of decomposing bodies; yet, we never hear of anybody become ill from their odors, at least not physically damaged. Yes, these odors cause nausea, but this has more to do with psychological than physiological issues.

Speaking of war should remind us that body handlers have long survived carrying bodies on stretchers for long periods of time. They too survived. So, it seems most logical that the death and blood odors do not cause illnesses, at least not in this writers knowledge.

These noxious odors offend because we do not live around them. Since the beginning of modernism, the modern age following the use of mass manufacturing and widespread reading, we have not lived near these odors. Before, people routinely slaughtered their livestock and became use to blood's odors. Likewise, people often performed unattended death cleanup work for friends and family members.

Another Canard

Canard means to create a false or fabricated piece of information. That's what we're talking about when someone claims terrible things happen because of death and blood odors.

We also find county employees using their canard. They send families to a corrupt crime scene cleanup companies. This company then sends money to the county employee creating a false story, a canard. Employees tell families to use a select list of crime scene cleanup companies or one company. These crime scene cleanup companies, known as crony crime scene cleanup companies, then send money to the canard creating county employee.

Because county employees have a monopoly over crime scene cleanup, crime scene cleanup costs much more money then need be. It's true that crime scene cleaners should make a lot of money; it's not true that a monopoly by some will lower prices; monopolies create higher prices.

Monopolies over biohazard cleanup companies by county employees steal freedom from the public. This means that we are not free to start our own biohazard cleanup company. How can we expect to compete with tax payer supported biohazard, crime scene cleanup, companies? We cannot. Those who do survive do so by doing other types of work.

Some police officers send family members to a crony company. Fortunately, just like "bad cops," their numbers remain in the tiny fraction of police officers, in general. Just the same, one bad cop or one bad county employee can hurt our fortunes and freedoms.

Blood cleanup is important work. It must be done carefully, patiently. We know that deaths from liver-destroying hepatitis C are on the rise among baby boomers. Although we are all at risk, those born between 1945 and 1965 should get a one-time blood test to check if their livers harbor this ticking time bomb. The reason: Two-thirds of people with hepatitis C are in this age group, most unaware that a virus that takes a few decades to do its damage has festered since their younger days.

A sense of urgency ought to propel us to action for blood cleanup. Since last summer (2011), two drugs hit the market last summer that promise to cure many more people than ever was possible. Never mind that blood cleanup costs a lot of money; never mind that the treatment costs a great deal of money. It stands poised to save many thousands of lives.

OSHA

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) polices blood cleanup because of dangerous germs.

We should point out that biohazard cleanup includes suicide cleanup as well as blood cleanup. Suicide cleanup often leads to decomposition; not all suicides are found for some time. Decomposition then follows.

Any type of blood cleanup requires using universal safety methods. OSHA requires this approach. Bloodborne pathogen training requirements may be completed online for as little as $20. Employers need to ensure that their employees keep up on this training. should know these things before referring a company.

Victims

At times we find that perpetrators of homicides were also victims throughout their lives. We find this among teenage girls prone to join gangs for protection. Their day-to-day lives at home lead to sexual assault by fathers, brothers, cousins, uncles, and others.

We find that females who engage in violent crimes do so to escape victimization. They may kill a family member to stop sexual assault. They may take part in violent crimes because they gains a sense of of power and control heretofore unknown in their miserable lives. When we follow their life histories we can find a logic to their violence; they grow up as victims.

Escaping victimization through gangs means taking part in the victimization of others. Some gangs even require a "jump in" ritual. Those wishing to join must undergo a beating from members. Some gangs even require a homicide to show solidarity with the group. These acts costs dearly, but for a young girl they make more sense then continued sexual assaults in their homes. We must look to patriarchy for more answers on this issue.

Take Betty as an example. Her mother remained passive in the face of male control and violence. Betty suffered sexual assaults from her two brothers and two cousins from age 5 to age 14. Even he uncle and father took part in raping this young girl from her 12th year.

Se related that "things happened" to her that she sometimes thought other girls experienced. While sleeping at another girl's 13th birthday slumber party, she expected the girls father to join them and fornicate. Betty asked her friend where her friend why her father did not join them. This experience confirmed to Betty that her life did not make sense. She suffered mightily.

When Betty turned 14 she planned her escape to a gang. Her uncle soon came to abuse her, she stabbed him in the face and ran. Six months after joining her gang she became pregnant. After her second child was born to an unknown gang member, she was arrested while trying to steal baby food.

We can only hope that has a safer environment for its young girls to use than gang membership. Perhaps this sort of problem calls for a national approach to protecting girls and women from male violence.
